Biography
Timothy Fritz, Ph.D., came to the Mount in 2015 after earning his doctorate at the University of Florida in 2014. Since arriving, he has taught classes on pirates, comparative slave rebellions, the American Revolution, civil rights, and other classes in the core curriculum.
Fritz is a historian of race and early America and is currently working on several articles about multiethnic communities in the colonial South. He is also the director of the Mount 101, the university's summer bridge program.
